Hello,

Tired of the manual watering and so I’m considering installing an irrigation system by myself.
Any advise regarding drip/normal irrigation?
Any recommendations where to purchase irrigation equipment?

Dear Garden club members,

I’m an owner of a garden school and a presenter and organizer for 10 garden clubs in Gauteng and Mpumalanga.

I’m visiting Cape Town from February, 26th – March 7th 2010 and am available to help your garden club with the following presentations:
How to grow organic vegetable in a very small space (a 3 hour course); and
Increase your plants growth rate with 250% within 30 days with the greenfinger gardening tecniques ( a 3 hour course)

The cost is only R150,00 per person and I need at least 40 people to present this course.

Would you as a garden club be interested to organize such an event? I would gladly sponcor R50,00 per person to the garden club when more than 40 people attend the course.

The language may be presented in Afrikaans or English.
Please answer before end of December for bookings.

Dear Flourish

I happened to come across this blog while searching for South African gardening information. I have really enjoyed reading your monthly tips.

I live in the Fish Hoek valley, and I would recommend Harry Goemans Garden Centre on Kommetjie Rd in Sunnydale. They have an excellent range of plants and garden requirements and they are competitively priced.

I look forward to reading more!

Cape Compost (I think their name has changed)
These prices are a bit outdated but quality is excellent. Unfortunately all comes in plastic bags. Maybe if enough of us ask they could start taking the bags back and re-using them.
