May Flourish Meeting - Change of Venue April 29, 2008

Filed under: Meeting Minutes, What's On This Month — ally @ 3:46 pm
Our May Flourish meeting is now to be held at Brigitte Berg’s house in Constantia.
Brigitte Berg will be speaking to us about ‘Bringing wildlife into the Garden’ (i.e. using natural gardening methods to promote balance and harmony of the natural order in the garden, and in so doing, encourage birds etc to enjoy your garden too!).
I think that this meeting will be most fascinating - Brigitte is an accomplished organic gardener and we are very lucky to have this opportunity to experience her gardening practices!
The address is (refer to email for full details):

“Sunbirds”
Constantia
(off Southern Cross Drive)

HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE!
best regards
Caroline

Rustenberg, one of the oldest wine estates in the country, lies on the south-facing slopes of the Simonsberg, north of Stellenbosch. The entrance is on Rustenberg Road between the Rustenberg Health Hydro and the Ida’s Valley estate. It is signposted from the Helshoogte Road (R310), north of Stellenbosch.

    How to get there:

From the N2 (Cape Town and Somerset West): Take the R310 (Baden Powell Drive) or the R44 (from Somerset West) to Stellenbosch. Along Adam Tas St these two roads merge. At the last traffic light, turn right into the Helshoogte Rd (the R310) towards Franschhoek. Take the first traffic light left into Lelie Rd which becomes Rustenberg Rd. The Rustenberg gates are higher up on the left.

From the N1 (Cape Town and northern suburbs): Take the R304 into Stellenbosch. After crossing the railway line, turn left at the second traffic light into the R44, then right at the next traffic light right into Helshoogte Road (the R310). Take the first traffic light left into Lelie Road (which becomes Rustenberg Road). The Rustenberg gates are higher up on the left.

From Paarl/ Wellington: Take the R44 towards Stellenbosch, and then left at the traffic light (after Nietvoorbij on your left) into the Helshoogte Rd towards Franschoek. Take the first traffic light left into Lelie Road (which becomes Rustenberg Rd). The Rustenberg gates are higher up on the left.

From Paarl/Franschhoek: Take the R310 over the Helshoogte Pass. Take the 1st traffic light right into Rustenberg Rd (and then right at the T-junction into Lelie/ Rustenberg Rd), or the 2nd traffic light right into Lelie Rd, which becomes Rustenberg Rd. The Rustenberg gates are higher up on the left.
