WELCOME to the blog of Flourish Garden Club.

We’re a group of ladies, many with young children, who have discovered an interest in gardening and would like to know more about plants and what to do in our own gardens. Some of us already have established gardens and some of us are just beginning to develop our gardens.

We meet the first Saturday morning of every month (except for July and Jan – school holidays), at one of our homes, and usually have a speaker who can share their gardening and plant knowledge, ideas, experiences or simply just inspire us.

Flourish was initiated by the Constantia Valley Garden Club with the aim of passing down decades of garden knowledge and experience, so we are very fortunate to have their support when needed.

Flourish offers more than this though in that many of us have become friends. We have delicious teas and sit relaxed while we hear about ‘What’s on’ in the gardening calendar, ‘What to do that month in the garden’ and ‘what is that?’- for plant specimens we bring in to talk about or identify. We have a small interesting library table and quite often seeds and plants are exchanged. Every now and then there is even an outing to a place of ‘interest.’
